A Large Stoneware Casserole Dish, the oval-shaped and ribbed speckled celadon glazed body with everted rim, flanked by applied hand built and formed carry handles, the interior featuring abstract brushstroke and foliate motifs, whereas the exterior is adorned with naive leaf, berry and tendril motifs, all in tones of reddish brown and black oxide, verso impressed potter’s studio mark (ES), on a conforming base (11.5 x 36 x 28cm)
