(Encased in a custom made perspex display case) (Case: 71 x 88 x 35cm) SOLD TOGETHER with a mounted brushed brass plaque inscribed: HMS Bounty (1787), mounted on a wooden stand AND an information sheet, pertaining to the history of ship and its crew, later pasted on an ebonised hardboard back panel (20 x 16.5cm) Note: The mutiny on the Royal Navy vessel HMS Bounty occurred in the South Pacific Ocean on 28 April 1789. Disaffected crewmen, led by acting-Lieutenant Fletcher Christian, seized control of the ship from their captain, Lieutenant William Bligh, and set him and eighteen loyalists adrift in the ship’s open launch.
