the swivelling seat in form of a raised, carved and incised scallop shell, embellished with stop-fluted and foliated rocaille panels and further ornamented with scrolling acanthus leaf motifs, over a suspended vase-shaped support and lower quadruped base with wavy apron featuring raised and carved sectional rocaille and flower ornamentation, on slender curved scrolled cabriole legs, united by a stylised c-scroll x-frame stretcher, flanking a central finialled rosette roundel, terminating in leafy supports and figured paw and talon feet (Condition report: For restoration, splits, losses and old repairs evident)
