Maker: Barker Silversmiths Ltd, Birmingham c. 1907, stamped model no. 37590, the domed and hinged revolving cover of ovular form, fitted with an applied faux bone thumbpiece and pierced opening for a serving spoon, enclosing a removable floral pierced punch pattern strainer, over a beaded rimmed straining bowl, above a hot water reservoir, fitted with threaded knopped adjusting pins, flanked by opposing integral open-cast reeded foliate embellished carry handles, over a plain ribbed ring band, supported on Classical-style tapered scrolling stop-fluted legs (24 x 39 x 21cm) (Condition report: Minor dents and wear to plating evident)
