Zwernemann, Hanau, stamped 800, halbmond und reichskrone (Half moon and crown hallmark), the bowl-shaped and pierced strainer, surrounded by an intricate raised, cast, pierced, incised and engraved leafy c-scroll panels, embellished with floral sprigs, enclosed by a daisy ribbon and reed foliated rim, integral cast foliate scrollwork handle, adorned with putti, shell and floral swags, surmounted by a basket containing rose and daisy motifs, supported over an openwork rose-leaf ring, flanked by phoenix masques, on raised, figured and open-cast scrolling leaf supports, flanking a central floriform shell and leafy-scroll straining bowl, on cast leaf capped c-scroll supports (Total height: 6cm) (Weighable silver mass: 145g)
